After School chess

Dear Chess  Friends,

We are excited to announce the start of a new after school program on Wednesdays.

Starting September 24, 2014 we will run an after school program in the Crestwood Day school in Melville.  The program is open to all children between K- 6th  grades.

 

Fall semester will run for 13 consecutive Wednesdays.

Program is scheduled on the following dates:

Sep. 24

Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Nov. 5, 12, 19, 26

Dec. 3, 10, 17

We have 2 programs and 4 different groups.

Basic chess is a class offered for all children who are just starting and would like to learn how to play chess, they will be separated into 2 groups by age (k-1) and (2-5)

Basic chess run from 4.00 - 5.20 pm

Advanced chess will be offered to all children who already know how to play chess with 2 available groups:  Intermediate and tournament chess.

Advanced chess run from 5.30 pm - 7.00 pm

 

We will decide which group is appropriate for each child.

Full program cost for 13 weeks is $325

Includes chess instructions, t shirt, chess book for practicing and medal.

All instructions will be taught by International Master Milos Scekic and his helpers.

Program will last for 1 hour 15 minutes split into 3 parts.

 

Instruction: 25 minutes, playing chess games: 30 minutes and solving chess problems: 20 minutes.
